Because you are a wine lover, you might drink your wine by the bottle, but a true wine lover will drink by the case – in moderation of course. Cases of wine will generally come with about twelve 750 ml bottles for the wine connoisseurs of the world.
With 9 litres of wine in total to enjoy you want to get it right! It's no wonder why avid wine drinkers will buy by the case. It's not only about wine, though, but there are also many reasons to go with a case of wine over a bottle. Here are some of the reasons:
DISCOUNTS ARE ALWAYS BETTER!
Buying in bulk can often mean saving a lot more money than you realise. There are different case sizes: magnums splits, and so on. Retailers will discount a little percentage off full cases, and online shops will send them free of shipping fees. This will bring you more wine for less money!
BUILD YOU OWN MIXED CASE
Depending on the drinker, the occasion, and your budget, there are some tremendous mixed cases out there for purchase. This may also give you a chance to continue your wine journey in other directions as you try out different. If you drink wine with most of your meals or want to challenge your taste buds, mixed cases of wine are a great way to go.
A basic starter case will come with two different sparkling wines, five white light and bold wines, and five light and bold red wines. They might throw in rosé options as well, but usually, these cases are pretty customizable depending on your tastes as well. You should consider being more adventurous with your tastebuds, even when you think you might not like it.
Time to level up from the basic starter case to the more refined and somewhat premium offering? Have the team at The Wine Bunker put something special together for you based on what you love.
PRICING OF A MIXED CASE?
Wine cases will be priced depending on the quality of the various wines. High-quality wine will cost you more, but remember that you're getting a dozen bottles, and ultimately, you will be paying less per bottle when buying a case. At certain price points, you should expect certain things.
For instance, a case that costs you under $100 will be ok and perhaps more suited for parties and an easy to give to friends option (no real friend would give you crap wine, however). Whereas higher prices under $200 will allow you more exploration with different types of grapes and better value. All of this for still under $20 a bottle!
Keep in mind that wine under $200 doesn’t mean it is low quality. Wine cases for over $200 will be better-quality wines again. They will still pack a great punch and give you a little taste of high-quality wine. A case that costs you between $250 and $300 will be an average bottle price of around $25 each – a lot of people say they would happily spend $20 to $30 on wine.
A dozen of these superb wines will allow you to get a wine-experience with higher-quality wines that deliver mouthwatering goodness!
